Web3/Crypto: Why Bother?
One thing that keeps surprising me is how quite a few people see absolutely nothing redeeming in web3 (née crypto). Maybe this is their genuine belief. Maybe it is a reaction to the extreme boosterism of some proponents who present web3 as bringing about a libertarian nirvana. Later this week the FCC Commission is expected to vote along party lines to do away with net neutrality in the US. I have written extensively about why net neutrality is important for innovation. I will not rehash any of those arguments today (if you want to read from some of the pioneers who helped bring us the Internet, read their letter). Instead, today is simply a call to action. Contact your representatives and let them know why you support the existing net neutrality regulation.
