So I have still not switched permanently to an Android phone.  The main remaining reason has been that I simply have no cell coverage in my house.  With my [T-Mobile](http://www.t-mobile.net) Blackberry I have been able to roam seamlessly onto my Wifi network at home for several years now, using [UMA](http://www.umatechnology.org/overview/).   Well, T-Mobile has finally announced that they are [introducing UMA for several Android models](http://www.informationweek.com/news/security/reviews/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=227700235&itc=ref-true), starting with the new [MyTouch](http://mytouch.t-mobile.com/) and the [Motorola Defy](http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/phones/Cell-Phone-Detail.aspx?cell-phone=Motorola-DEFY).  Not sure I like either of these very much, but T-Mobile is planning to add more Android phones to the program soon (the [G2](http://g2.t-mobile.com/) looks interesting).  In addition to being convenient, it also helps save money.  For instance, when I was just in London and Berlin, half the time I was making my calls over Wifi networks.  If you pay an extra $10/month, all those Wifi calls are included, which sure beats international roaming.
