The main remaining reason has been that I simply have no cell coverage in my house. With my T-Mobile Blackberry I have been able to roam seamlessly onto my Wifi network at home for several years now, using UMA. Well, T-Mobile has finally announced that they are introducing UMA for several Android models, starting with the new MyTouch and the Motorola Defy. Not sure I like either of these very much, but T-Mobile is planning to add more Android phones to the program soon (the G2 looks interesting). In addition to being convenient, it also helps save money. For instance, when I was just in London and Berlin, half the time I was making my calls over Wifi networks. If you pay an extra $10/month, all those Wifi calls are included, which sure beats international roaming. ## Publication Information - [Continuations](https://continuations.com/): Publication homepage - [All Posts](https://continuations.com/): More posts from this publication - [RSS Feed](https://api.paragraph.com/blogs/rss/@continuations): Subscribe to updates - [Twitter](https://twitter.com/albertwenger): Follow on Twitter ## Optional - [Collect as NFT](https://continuations.com/have-been-waiting-for-this-uma-comes-to-android-courtesy-of-t-mobile): Support the author by collecting this post - [View Collectors](https://continuations.com/have-been-waiting-for-this-uma-comes-to-android-courtesy-of-t-mobile/collectors): See who has collected this post
