Looking for a Research Assistant

For 2017 I made two New Year’s resolutions. The first is to get into better shape (yes, like just about everyone else judging from the crowd at the gym today). The second is to finish my book World After Capital. For that I will need some help.

I am looking for a research assistant who can help me fill in the many instances in World After Capital where it says “XX” or “YY” instead of an actual number, or where I have made a note that I need a source or additional data. There are also a bunch of places that require a chart with data.

The ideal person for this project would care about the topic of the book, be great at finding stuff on the Internet and know how to use Google Docs well (including drawing charts). I don’t particularly care about anything else, such as degrees or location.

I am not entirely sure how much work there is in total but I think it will be at least 100 hours. I am fine with someone who can only work about 10 hours per week on this, as I myself am doing this on the side.

If you are interested, please go ahead and apply via this Google Form. The application will take a bit of time because it asks you to find a location in the book that is currently missing data and see if you can find the data.

Please share this post with anyone you think would be great at this. Thanks!

UPDATE: I have received many strong applications. Will get back to everyone over the coming days. Thanks.
